THE TINY LITTLE BUTTERFLY LANDED ON MY WINDOW SILL
JUST FOR A FEW MOMENTS THE BUTTERFLY SAT STILL
I COULD SEE IT IN ALL OF IT GLORY PERFECT IN EVERY WAY
WAS THE BUTTERFLY A GIFT FROM MY ANGEL THAT CAME TO ME TODAY

IT HAD TINY WHITE WINGS WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SIGHT
THEN THE TINY BUTTERFLY SPEAD ITS WINGS IN FLIGHT
KNOWING THAT THE BUTTERFLY CAME HERE TO SEE ME
NOW THE TINY BUTTERFLY IS FLYING AROUND SO FREE

Someday soon, I'll once again feel the softness of your skin.
I'll see your beautiful eyes, again someday soon.
The sound of your voice will be like music to my ears,
as will the words I long to hear.
Someday soon, I'll smell your sweet perfume,
and You really will be there... It won't be just a dream...
I know you have gone to a place far away, and unknown to me,
But you are still in my heart and mind everyday...
Someday soon, I'll feel your warm, loving arms around me again,
and the softness of your kind lips will once again fall upon my face,
to kiss a way all the tears,
just like you use to do when I was your Little Girl,

MY MOTHER'S HANDS

I'll always love my mother's hands,
whose quiet strength held dear,
each tiny palm she sheltered there
to quell our youthful fears.

I won't forget her soft caress,
across my fevered brow;
each stroke professed, her loving care,
a tender, steadfast vow.

I'll always love my mother's hands,
her firm yet warm embrace;
her skin, so soft, and subtle clasp
a touch time can't erase.

I won't forget her gentle grasp,
a silent bond we'd share;
and understood, between us both,
the meaning that was there.

I'll always love her thoughtful side,
when mind and hand would mate,
to take imagination's lead,
and beauty would create.

I won't forget the hands that worked,
from dawn until we slept,
to hold a job and still provide,
an ordered house well-kept.

I'll always love her fingertips,
that sought to curl in mine,
they left their swell within my heart,
an imprint now divine.

I won't forget the way they aged,
their storied lines so deep,
were filled with prayers that folded still,
for God, her soul to keep.

I'll always love our final touch,
I reached for her to find
her hands were still, but held their grace,
forever in my mind.

I cried tears of knowing that it is really true,
Tears of sadness that I lost you.
The legacy you left behind will always live.
Forever within our hearts and minds,
You will not drift because through all the wonderful memories you instilled,
We keep you close to us.

A humble woman who always puts others before herself
Touching the lives of her children and grandchildren
Oh how you embraced us with your love.
You were the foundation that kept us together and
Without you now, we grow even closer
Because you taught us the great meaning of family
If only there were more time that the lord could have allowed you...
